Fornasetti Rugs

Rug maker Roubini just released a collection of rugs based on themes from the works of Piero Fornasetti. I'm 100% sure I won't be able to afford these, but they're lovely to look at.

One More Penney's Post

So Penney's obviously made an impression on me this afternoon.

Here's another online-only find from their kids/teen department.

I love the colors and the fact that the design is called "marbles". As a kid I always loved marbles. Just to look at. I've never been good at the actual game.

Marbles rug, $49.99-$89.99

PS - Apparently all of Penney's good stuff is online-only, so let your fingers do the walkin'.

DwellStudio for Target: Not Just for Kids

I just read that DwellStudio has a new line of children's furniture for Target.

If you don't have kids, don't worry. Some of the items would be just as cute in your living room as they would be in a baby's room.

For example, this Zebra Rug ($179) is exactly the right combination of cute and chic for a big girl like me.

FLOR Gets Dressy for the Holidays

FLOR has two very cool rugs in their Fall catalog. They're billing these frilly versions of their Fedora tiles as holiday tree skirts, but I think they're awesome all on their own.

Both styles are available only in holiday shades, Brick and Chartreuse.

No More Slippery Slippers

I have dogs. And because I have dogs, I've learned that barefootin' it is no longer an option. Mysterious drool puddles have a tendency to appear on my wood floors, and I'd rather not discover them with my toes.

As a result, slippers are part of my at-home uniform. But they too have a tendency to end up in unexpected places. Like way, way under the bed, behind the sofa, and under my sneakers in the back of the closet.

This rug is a handy, whimsical solution. Although I strongly suspect this slipper rug would become my dogs' new favorite place to sleep.

HZL by Henzel Rugs

My friend Jeff tipped me off to the HZL by Henzel Web site a few days ago. It features beautiful modern rug designs with a heavy pop influence. I especially like the cross shape, which was available for all of the designs I viewed.

The rugs are quite reasonably priced, ranging from $595 for a 66" x 66" cross rug to $2099 for a 98" x 98" square.
