Rug maker Roubini just released a collection of rugs based on themes from the works of Piero Fornasetti. I'm 100% sure I won't be able to afford these, but they're lovely to look at.

Love this leggy tea set. Each piece is handmade in England.

Sexy Times Dinnerware

Birds do it. Bees do it. Why not let bugs and bunnies do it at your dinner table?*

And to think, my mom used to bust me for singing.

Travel: Packing Everything in One Bag

Many airlines are starting to charge extra if you have to check more than one bag on your flight.

If you're like me, and can't imagine going anywhere without at least 4 pairs of shoes, read this article from NPR. It's full of tips for limiting the amount of stuff you pack and for getting more out of the space in your luggage.

Found My Animal Leashes

Another trend I've never jumped on? Fancy pet stuff.

But, for the second time this morning, I've been unexpectedly won over. I love this adjustable rope leash. I think the picture of it as an awesome fashion accessory is helping a lot.

It's part of a line of handmade pet accessories for adopted animals and their owners called Found My Animal. Proceeds from the sale of each leash go to the Louis Animal Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to providing services and finding homes for animals.

Porcupine Earrings

I'm not usually into wearing jewelry. I love to look at it, but actually putting it on has never been my strong suit.

But I can actually see myself wearing these porcupine quill earrings. They have a rebellious elegance that even someone too lazy to take an extra 30 seconds to put on earrings can't resist.

Quill earrings, $50.

One More Penney's Post

So Penney's obviously made an impression on me this afternoon.

Here's another online-only find from their kids/teen department.

I love the colors and the fact that the design is called "marbles". As a kid I always loved marbles. Just to look at. I've never been good at the actual game.

Marbles rug, $49.99-$89.99

PS - Apparently all of Penney's good stuff is online-only, so let your fingers do the walkin'.

Erika Wall Mirror

Penney's continues their reign of awesome with this lovely Moroccan-inspired mirror.

This is another online exclusive, so no need to venture beyond the warming glow of your laptop screen.

Classic Adirondack at Penney's for Pennies

If you need to get in gear for summer, JC Penney has their collection of Adirondack furniture (chairs and the little folding table) seriously marked down.

They're only available online or via catalog order, so don't rush out to your local mall.

These are like a cross between an Andy Warhol painting and a grocery store votive candle. I love the idea of the set of four together on a mantle.

Horses + Laser Beams?

While browsing Etsy for horse-related art, I ran across this very unusual print from seller thecellophanes. It's called "Laser Beam Mustang," and the 10.25" x 14" print is $20.

First I laughed, but then I fell in love with it and bought one for my living room. It's a little bit stark, but anything that has laser beams coming out of it's eyes has at least a dash of whimsy.

Doodle Dog Paintings

Another morning, another hour of Etsy-obsessing. Yes, I am addicted to the "Pounce" tool.

I just discovered the store of Doodle Dog Paintings, which features the work of pet portrait artist, Kellie Oliphant-Burns.

Etsy Find: Frankensteined Ceramics from Melabo

I've been playing with Etsy's Pounce tool this morning. If you haven't seen it, it's a search feature that lets you see recently sold items or discover new Etsy shops that haven't sold an item yet.

I was totally blown away by these weirdly awesome statuettes from seller Melabo. I collect white ceramics, and I can't wait to get a few of these odd animal hybrids.

From the top, Deerman, Totem Kitty, Reclining Deerman, and Bride and Groom, $40 each.
