Log cabins, small town diners, odd taxidermy, donuts, biker bars, cross-border bordellos, drug running, buxom school girls, ghostly murderers, and cherry pie. Just an average day in Twin Peaks. The fictional city was the subject of David Lynch and Mark Frost's kinky-kitsch soap-opera about murder and small town life in the Northwest.
The show premiered to rave reviews, but survived only 29 episodes. To this day, it is my all time favorite TV series (sorry Lost).
I recently re-watched Twin Peaks season one, and I was surprised to see how well the cabin-chic decor held up (not to mention the creep-factor).
So in honor of the
Twin Peaks Gold Edition DVD, releasing 10/30, here are my suggestions for bringing a little Lynch-inspired design to your home.
Red velvet curtains are must. They were everywhere from One-Eyed Jack's to dream sequences. Restoration Hardware has

Black is back. And it's amazing how this once daunting hue lends warmth and depth to an interior.
